Kiran Pedada is a PhD candidate in the area of Marketing at Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He is interested in examining issues in marketing strategy and he focuses on two streams of research. His first stream of research is in international marketing strategy with a focus on emerging markets and his second stream of research is in retailing strategy. He has presented and published research papers at ISMS Marketing Science Conference, AMA Winter Educators Conference, AMA Summer Educators Conference, Yale China India Insights Conference, Marketing Science Institute, and others. He has received 2017 Helen DeVitt Jones Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award, 2017 Outstanding Contributions to Teaching as a Doctoral Student Award, and 2016 Outstanding Contributions to Research as a Doctoral Student Award from Texas Tech University. He has been a Fellow at 2017 ISMS Marketing Science Doctoral Consortium, 2016 ISBM PhD Camp and 2015 ISMS Marketing Science Doctoral Consortium.

Before joining Texas Tech, he was Consultant at the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Case Development at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Kiran helped ISB in the AACSB accreditation process. He was also a Visiting Faculty at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM). He has rich experience in the areas of strategy consulting, corporate strategy, teaching, and academic research. He has worked with Mott MacDonald India in its Marketing & Strategy consulting practice. Additionally, he has provided consulting services at several Indian and international organizations in the areas of market research, entry strategy formulation, corporate planning, and opportunity scanning. He mentored the winning teams in the prestigious Global Social Venutre Competition (GSVC), organized by Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. His mentee teams won the competition consecutively for 2 years - 2012 and 2013. He was also Asia Finalist of GSVC in 2010.
